British Summer time:
“Widespread frost” says weatherman
– It’s not April fools’
Hidden shoot pierces
The cold armour of winter
To blossom in spring
Much like two dry sticks
Haiku are hard to ignite
Though embers live long.
In winter’s shadow
Or in summer’s radiance
The bee knows its hive
The weather forecast
Is simply irrelevant.
Why? This is England!
This is a small world
Our neighbours are abundant
And their grief, potent.
Critical caution:
Watch the news at your own risk;
Fear is digital.
If justice prevails
Or if the villains succeed
Time pays no respect.
It’s arguable
But God’s greatest design is
The female bosom.
Sinner by default,
Masterpiece in the making;
That is how Grace works
Fate – there’s no such thing,
Neither is coincidence,
Question everything.
The Father absent
Who suffered more, chosen Son
Or the mother Mary?
University:
A place of knowledge, growth and
Internal conflict.
Soaking in the rays
Eyelids – curtains to his soul
Closed in reflection.
